Dear Carolyn...I remember your Mom`s hospitality, and your Dad`s,during nursing school when I`d come to visit the farm and later when I brought a very young Sheila before we moved to Florida.I guess all of her milk cow friends(remember Petsy?),other farm business, and her Church circle helped your Mom keep her sanity after losing first your Dad and later your brother...Now you will find your own way within your circle and spiritual quest to find Peace after losing your Mom.
Our thoughts and sympathies are with you now...
Love,
Susan and Edward Marchiselli,Clearwater,Florida

Carolyn, your mom was such a special and kind lady. I always looked forward to receiving notes with the cards from Aunt Corene at Christmas time - made me feel connected to home. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mrs. Meier and the Meier family are a wonderful part of my childhood memories. Carolyn and Jr were great friends to the Comer kids and Mr Meier was a giant man who was generous to his kids and us. I was amazed when he built a miniature tractor we raced between our homes playing all kinds of games. My best childhood memories are tied to the Meier's family and my days with Mrs. Meier's watching Cardinal baseball and playing board games like Tortoise and Hare. She was a very kind loving lady who only gave me good memories. Mr. Meier would pay us (too much) to haul hay bales and Mrs Meier would serve us these incredible meals for lunch like roast beef or fried chicken with all the side dishes fresh from her garden. Carolyn, I hope you cherish all the memories of your family as I do. God Bless you with peace and comfort. You are part of a really special family and I will always appreciate the times we shared.
