Obituary of Clara Gertrude Collins

Clara Gertrude Collins Funeral Services for Clara Gertrude Collins of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Richard Pillers, pastor of Elsberry Assembly of God Church, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Mrs. Collins, 92, passed away Thursday morning, June 21, 2012 at her home in Elsberry. Born February 15, 1920 in Elsberry, she was the daughter of Noey Lee and Clara Ellen Stewart Suddarth. She was united in marriage on April 8, 1950 in Pocahontas, AR to Everett Earl Collins. She worked as a parts assembler in the auto parts manufacturing trade for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Noey and Clara Suddarth; two grandsons: Justin Burbridge and Kenny Burbridge, Jr.; two sisters: Ruth Bernice Mills and Winnia Virginia Davis; three brothers: LeRoy Suddarth and two in infancy; and her beloved husband of 35 years, Everett Collins on June 9, 1985. Survivors include two sons: Denny Burbridge and his wife, Gloria and Kenny Burbridge and his wife, Loraine, all of Elsberry. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
