Obituary of Michael Ray Collins

Michael R. Collins Funeral services for Michael Ray Collins of Foley, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Burial will be in Thornhill Cemetery near Troy, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Rose, Jason Simpson, Terry Collins, Dave Collins, Rich Aubuchon, Charles Usher, Justin Mosley and Hayden Mosley. Mr. Collins, 53, died Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, OK. Born August 24, 1958 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Ermon D. and Margaret Waterhouse Collins. He was united in marriage on April 17, 1982 in St. Johns, MO to Cynthia Lynn "Cindy" Rose. This union was blessed with two daughters, Shaina and Cassie. He was employed as a driver for Blue-Linx Logistics in Earth City, MO. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local #682 in St. Louis, MO. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his father, Ermon D. Collins; and one brother, Steve Collins. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Collins of Foley; two daughters: Shaina Collins and her fiance, Justin Mosley of Foley and Cassie Collins, also of Foley; and one grandson, Hayden Mosley. He also leaves his mother, Margaret Collins of Foley; two brothers: Dave Collins of Overland, MO, and Terry Collins and his wife, Chris, of Granite City, IL; one sister, Vicki Pratt and her husband, Mike, of Foley; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
