Obituary of Carol Beth Irvin

Funeral Services for Carol Beth Irvin of Winfield, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Richard Turnbull of Winfield will officiate. Ms. Irvin, 70, passed away Sunday morning, February 23, 2014 at her home. Born December 14, 1943 in Rock Springs, WY, she was the daughter of Charles Verner and Lora Ethyl Turner Irvin. Following high school, she went on to earn her Doctorate in Child Development. She then taught at University of Missouri, Minot State University, University of Missouri – St. Louis, Harris Stowe State University and Webster University, where she retired in 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lora Irvin. Survivors include her twin sister, Janet Claire Irvin of Winfield; one aunt, Agnes Cox of Council Grove, KS; and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
