My condolences to Claire and the family. I am a childhood friend and spent lots of time with Carol and Claire in early grade school years. I remember visiting with them and Carols Mom making our favorite supper... It was a mound of mashed potatoes with a hot dog in the center, baked on a cookie sheet.
Also, our birthdays are very close. We had lots of fun in girl scouts, too.
I think my Aunt Leona used to baby sit/house sit with the sisters when they lived near the river.
I have lots of fond memories from those years.
Claire, I am so sorry for your loss. Carol was vey bright and I always knew she would be a terrific educator.
I am so glad to have visited with Carol at our recent class reunions.
