I just wanted the family to know that Bruce was a great inspiration to me, and guided me in my career choice. I will always remember talking to him the day of the accident. He had told me he could not find his pastport, so he was unable to go to Mexico. He was a very kind person, and I can only hope one day that I will be as good of a person and photographer as he was. When I graduate from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with my Bachlors in Photography I will remember him and thank the lord for his influence in my life.

I remember my daughter, Angie's freshman year in high school. It was parents day and also picture day. Bruce talked me into letting him take my picture too, and I got the same photo package as the students. Bruce was also Angie's landlord for four years, giving them a very nice letter of reference when they moved. We have the utmost respect and admiration for Bruce as a photographer, landlord, and friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cannon family. Bruce will be greatly missed.

Dear Hazel, Princess, Brit, Tyler and all family and friends,
Even 6,000 miles away the loss is too great to bear. He was a wonderful travel companion, Sponsor of my NHS projects, and his early death has just left an empty space in this world. At these tragic moments, we ask ourselves where God is and why he allow this all to happen.
It is through our faith that we are comforted knowing that in this imperfect world where we live that God will bring his children home to his perfect world where only joy and love exists for all.
I express my sincere sympathy and my deep felt lost to all. Karen Simmons, CAIRO EGYPT

This is a tragic loss for the family and our entire community. What a great guy! Bruce was my Career's teacher in Winfield and the only teacher who was known on a first name basis. No Mr. Cannon in his class...It was always Bruce! When I got married there was no discussion who my photographer was going to be. Bruce and Princess were there. Always smiling with a handshake everytime we met.
Bruce you will be missed by everyone fortunate enough to meet you.

I would like to offer my prayers to Mr. Cannon's family and friends. I was so saddened to hear of this tragic accident. I was a student of Mr. Cannon back in 1972 or '73. He was my 6th grade social studies teacher. I still have pictures of him and remember him so fondly. I am so sorry for this loss and pray that God will meet each of you right where you are.
Sincerely,
Julie Burgess (McElhiney-daughter of the late William G. McElhiney)

I have known Bruce longer than just about anyone else I can remember. We were in church nursery together, baptized together, all through school together. Though I have not seen him for several years, I still asked for news about him from time to time when I was with mutual friends. He stopped by my Dad's house recently to see me and I wasn't there that day. I am so sorry I missed his visit. My condolences and prayers go out to his family.
