I'm another one of the Drexel EE group that Mike Hutkin refers to in his post... Also met Wayne as a frosh at Drexel in 1963 - as our last names were alphabetically close, we ended up in many of the same classes. Many great memories - Wayne taught me to drive a stick shift in his Simca in center city Philly and was my navigator in a few road rallies that we did in my TR-4 Triumph. He helped re-build the transmission in that car in my grandmother's garage. I've added a photo of Wayne & Bubbles (Bernice) taken in 1971 at the Jersey shore where I was living. Also one from our Drexel gang get-together in Cape May in 2010 (taken at the Lobster House). I was also in Wayne & Bubbles' wedding and was Nancy's (Watson) partner as evidenced by the photo I added of us at the reception (Mariner's Inn) in Wildwood!
I'll miss Wayne immensely - may he rest in peace!

I met Wayne as a freshman at Drexel university in 1968 (57 years ago). In those college years a great bond formed between Wayne and 8 or 9 other “someday to be” electrical engineers. As the only married couple, Wayne and Bernice’s home became our home where we often met to study or hang out. We spent untold hours on and off campus creating untold memories and stories we tell and retell to this day. We all stayed in touch as we spread out across the country but many years ago, Bernice orchestrated an in-person gathering in Cape May NJ. We, and now our wives, spent 3 days retelling all of the stories and committed to continuing getting together. For many years we managed to make it happen, even making a visit to Missouri when I believe it was their 50th anniversary. In the covid years when in-person meeting was not possible we began having zoom sessions once a month. That continues now. We will miss Wayne deeply. The picture shows some of us stopping at Drexel as "Golden" dragons

Have many fond and fun memories of family years thru H.S. and college. I was a best friend of Bubbles (Bernice) in HS and Wayne’s first cousin and enjoyed being in Wayne’s wedding. Sorry that my only three cousins are now deceased. Nancy Watson Parke

Spent many years in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts with Wayne. Enjoyed our many camping trips with the Boy Scouts. Wayne was a dedicated Scouting leader. He will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Will miss this great man. Loved his weekly jokes, and time I was able to get to know him. And his dog. And I will always rember the day he brought his flame shower to show me. I'm just happy I got to know him and take peace knowing he is a peace and rest now.
