Obituary of June Lee Gant

Funeral Services for June Lee Gant of Troy, MO will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church in Lake Ozark, MO, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. June, 89, passed away Friday morning, February 2, 2024 at Gardenview Care Center in O’Fallon, MO. Born December 23, 1934 in Union, MO, she was the daughter of Herbert and Mary Elizabeth Gay Maness. June was united in marriage on January 23, 1954 in Salem, MO to James Donald Gant. This union was blessed with four sons: James, Jeffery, John and Joseph. June was a loving homemaker. June was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mary Maness; one brother, Herbert Dean Maness; and two sisters: Janet Roller and Betty Hampton. Survivors include her beloved husband, Jim Gant of Troy, MO; four sons: James Gant, Jr. and his wife, Sonya, of Foley, MO, Jeffery Gant and his wife, Donna, of Winfield, John Gant and his wife, Missy, of O’Fallon, MO and Joseph Gant and his wife, Christina, of Jonesburg, MO; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. June also leaves two sisters: Sandra Rowden and Pamela Watkins; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of the Service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
