Obituary of Kevin James Sitton
Memorial Services for Kevin James Sitton of Winfield, MO will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO.
Kevin, 63, passed away Saturday morning, September 9, 2023 at his home near Winfield. Born July 28, 1960 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Oliver and Edith Dickherber Sitton. Kevin was united in marriage on December 6, 1980 in Old Monroe, MO to Jacklyn Denise Dale. This union was blessed with four children: Nicholas, Andrew, Alexander and Katelyn. Kevin was a 1978 graduate of Winfield High School; and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla in December, 1983. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Boeing.
Kevin worked hard to provide for his family. Jaci was the love of his life, and the family they created was the most important thing to him. He cherished spending time with his family whether it was playing games, going to museums or air shows, working on cars, or sharing their love of cruising. Kevin was an avid plane enthusiast, who could identify any airframe with just a quick glance. He was intelligent, kind, and loving. He will be missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Edith Sitton.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 42 years, Jacklyn Sitton of Winfield; their children: Nicholas Sitton and his wife, Amanda, of Troy, MO, Andrew Sitton and his wife, Elizabeth, of Warrenton, MO, Alexander Sitton and his wife, Danielle, of St. Louis, MO and Katelyn Sitton of St. Charles; and four grandchildren: Gracelyn, Brooklyn, Isabelle and Bryce. Kevin also leaves one brother, Oliver Sitton and his wife, Marilyn of Texas; two sisters: Shelley Long of O’Fallon, MO and Rhonda Callaway and her companion, Steve Kaltenbach of Wentzville, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Services at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Siteman Cancer Center in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
