While we never met Orval, our yard is across Jung’s Station for him, we’ve lived here 40 years! We got curious one day because we didn’t see him coming and going, so I looked up the property owner name and it was Orval. We fondly referred to him as cowboy! But we never met! The biggest joys he brought was during COVID, on Fridays about 4 pm, he and about 4 friends, all musicians, would sit under the big tree in his side yard and play their music! It became our “happy hour” each Friday for about 6 weeks or so. He will be buried the same place as my grandparents are, so I will be visiting him. Blessings to the family.

When I think of the memory of Orvale, I think of the times that I have met him at the senior center of Saint peters and Freddys restaurant. Every time I’ve seen him, his songs, his voice, his eyes always displayed kindness, and he really saying about life I have to say that I feel so fortunate that I met him, for so many reasons throughout life you meet people, but there’s always that certain person that you will always remember and I am fortunate to say I met horrible. I am so lucky to say I know him Mayor Lord opened his arms for Orvale and I have no doubt Orvale right now is singing about how beautiful it is where he’s at, City of St. Peters is going to miss you, Orvale

Orval was one of the best men I ever knew a true-blue down to earth person who did a lot of good in the world,
especially for the elderly in the nursing homes by entertaining them and being a friend. He had a lot of
heart and humor who gave of himself. I enjoyed being around him and having him as a fellow musician.
His faith in God was evident in everything he did, and I appreciated his zest for life and corny jokes.
God has a special place for Orval, and it certainly is well deserved. My sincerest condolences to Carole
and all his family. Orval was a genuine and unique individual and we will not see the like of him
in my lifetime. God speed.

God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.
Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.
In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.
Amen.
