Where do I begin? I met Gary through the Irvin family. My family was neighbors with his sister, Carol. Then dated Jr. for several years and grew to love this wonderful family.
Gary was the guy I could go to when I neded a shoulder to cry on, he literally would say "Oh don't cry" in his nervous voice while patting me on the back. I had to remind him several times that this was the reason I was using his shoulder. He always told me it would be alright, and he was right.
Gary was always kind & sweet and would be ready for conversation. Mostly about Camaros, old cars and when and where the next car show was.
Years of living close to one another, we rode to work with each other for sometime, he never failed to ask me how I was doing, I would answer him and sometimes that's all we would say.... sometimes the conversations would last into the work day.
My memories will be with me forever of guy who enjoyed others as much as we loved his laugh and his keen sense of humor.
Gary, you will be sorely missed. I have a vision of you in your baby blue Camaro flying into the heavens waving at us while you join the family you have loved and missed so much.
My sympathy to his wonderful wife Ann and the Irvin family. My heart aches for your loss.
