Aunt Betty you were a wonderful and generous person. You will be missed greatly by all those that knew you. I saddens me of you leaving us however, it is with great pleasure knowing you are with those family and friends who have gone before you. Additionally, you are with your great love of 63 years you loving husband. All those that knew you are saddened you were one of my most favorite great aunts and my godmother. Betty was an amazing lady who was happy to share her adventures about her guide dog. She enjoyed going for walks, shopping, restaurants or the senior center. We appreciated everything she did for Guide Dogs of America. She will be deeply missed.

My mother Monica and Betty best friends of a lifetime. Betty took me in just after I was born while my mother fought for her life. With five children at home me being the sixth. Betty took me into their home for the length of time it took while my mother to recover. While Jerry got his entire work place to come to the hospital and donate blood to save my mother. An amazingly strong women who lived her life loving and caring for friends and family. Through the many years of trips from Michigan to Missouri the friendship never wavered. Thank the Lord for our gift of Betty Hansen. Until we meet again,, Love always Dana.
