Harold Dean Havenar, III
A Celebration of Life for Harold Dean Havenar, III of Foley, MO will be held from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Old Monroe American Legion Post #420 with Military Honors at 5:00 p.m.
Mr. Havenar, 61, passed away Wednesday morning, July 17, 2019 at his home near Foley. Born December 9, 1957 in Overland, MO, he was the son of Harold Dean Havenar, II and Doris Elaine Hasty Havenar. He was raised by his step-father, Donald Gass. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp from January 31, 1977 until he was honorably discharged on September 8, 1978. He was united in marriage on June 24, 2006 in Old Monroe, MO to Linda Kay Bell. He worked for many years as a Truck Driver for S & H Transportation, retiring in May, 2011. He was a family man and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Havenar, II, his mother and step-father, Doris and Donald Gass; and two brothers: Donald and David Gass.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 13 years, Linda Havenar of Foley; one son, Bert Lewis; three daughters: Patricia Lewis and her significant other, Travis Banks, of St. Charles, Rachel Freebersyser and her husband, Matthew, of St. Charles, and Michele Guthrie and her husband, Nick, of Foley; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Harold also leaves one brother: Terry Gass and his wife, Debbie, of Montgomery City, MO; several in-laws, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
