Mel Vance was an old soul. Kind and warm. Funny and endearing. He was a man that loved his kids and his grandkids. So much so that he dressed up like Santa for them at Christmas time. That little dog, Cyrus lit up his face like few others. He was a special person that will be missed by many. My condolences to Ann and his kids. If there's anything you need, just ask. I love you guys.

Mell was one of the greats. I was proud to call him family. The memories are endless I grew up with him always around his daughter melanie is my best friend we were inseparable growing up. Our family's were closer then close we were family in every since of the word. This is such a great loss words cant describe it. He will be missed greatly but absolutely never forgotten. To his wife and daughter u know where we are if u need anything. Love to you all

Mel, junior as we all called him was my long time ago childhood friend that I grew up with him, Jerry, and Betty. From the age of 5 to 18 he taught me to make my first snow creation. I will miss him, my deepest thoughts to the family for their loss.
