My sympathy to family and friends on Everett's passing. I was the prosecuting attorney for Lincoln County in 1980-81 and worked with Everett and his staff. I will never forget when the Foley police officer was accused of child abuse. Everett and two of his deputies came to me to discuss the case and ask for a separate investigation to avoid the possibility of some conspiracy against the officer and took great care to insure that justice was served in tht very difficult case. He was a very honest and diligent peace officer.
