All life is precious-but I must say that some lives are so incredibly intertwined with others that you simply cannot imagine the word precious being able to capture the impact to an entire community and all the individuals in it. There is an old African saying: It takes a village to raise a child...I feel incredibly blessed to have been raised in such a village by such loving people as those in Annada, and especially Doris. I am no longer a child; I have children & grandchildren of my own, and still the love Doris displayed reaches out through generations to touch my life again indelibly with sadness this time at the loss of one so dear. One of my last remembrances of Doris was a time when my family was visiting in Elsberry and we stopped by to see Doris. My daughter played a song or two for Doris on her piano that was so horribly out of tune that the songs were nearly unrecognizable, but the love in that home was as much a part of the scene as the furniture. It was an indelible snapshot of the impact of a life well lived. My condolences to all, and may our Grand Creator comfort you with His spirit during this time of grief.

Sharon, Les and Family--While I am so sorry that Doris has left us, I also know she has joined Harry and all the other Saints who were waiting for her. Your mom was such an inspiration to me (and to many others, I am certain). You never saw her without a smile on her sweet face and on her way to do something for somebody. I am BLESSED to have been able to call her friend. The many, many hours of fun that she and Harry shared with my parents playing cards--it brings a great big grin
as I think about them. I loved her so!
What a life she lived!
Please know I will hold you all in my prayers. The next time you see her will be forever.
God's Blessings of Peace,
Rhonda Flynn

My deepest and heartfelt sympathy is extended to all the family. Although I never met Doris, her name came up at many family functions. I am so pleased that she was able to meet the newest addition to the clan, Jaxen and Hailey Waganer. She will be missed by all.

What a great lady!!! Doris and her husband, Harry, were close friends and neighbors of my parents, Herman and Myra Donelson for many years. Seems like Doris and Harry were always "around" throughout my high school years and Doris always had a smile on her face.
My genuine sympathy to Sharon and Les and their family. Patti Q
