Obituary of Clesta May Penn

Mrs. Clesta May Penn, 99, passed away early Friday morning, February 14, 2014 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry, MO. Born April 30, 1914 in Foley, MO, she was the daughter of Ira Alfred and Alberta S. Presley Masterson. She was united in marriage on October 8, 1938 in Troy, MO to J. Martin (J.M.) "Pat" Penn. This union was blessed with two sons, Bill and Larry. Clesta was a lifelong piano player for bands at area churches, charitable events and for other various functions. She was a housewife. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Alberta Masterson; one sister, Isbelle Masterson; one brother, Alfred "Monk" Warren Masterson; and her beloved husband of nearly 42 years, Pat Penn who died August 8, 1980. Survivors include her sons, Bill Penn of Houston, TX and Larry Penn and his wife, Geraldine, of Moore Haven, FL. She also leaves other relatives and many friends. Services were private.
