Obituary of Odelia Helen Heppermann
A Mass of Christian Burial for Odelia Helen Heppermann of St. Paul, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013 at St. Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. Fr. Gerald Blessing, church pastor, will officiate with burial in St. Paul Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Tom Koester, Tim Hawkins, Billy Heppermann, Glen Heppermann, Chris Burkemper, Darin Bals, Jeff Heppermann and Nathan Kaimann; honorary pallbearers will be Vince and Mike Koester, David and Donnie Hawkins, Steve and Keith Heppermann, Jeremy Heitmann, Carl Burkemper and Garry Bals.
Mrs. Heppermann, 88, passed away Thursday morning, August 1, 2013 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry, MO. Born January 29, 1925 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of Leo and Regina Borgmeyer Weber. She was united in marriage on September 26, 1945 in St. Charles to Linus S. Heppermann. This union was blessed with eleven children: Shirley, Regina, Linus, Glennon, Therese, Wayne, Mary Jane, Ruth, Carolyn, Barbara and Nancy. She was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church and St. Paul's Ladies Sodality.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Regina Weber; six brothers: Leo Weber, Francis Weber, Peter Weber, Aloys Weber, Joseph Weber and Edward Weber; six sisters: Sr. Francella Marie F.S.M., Christina Hoeckelmann, Sr. Marie Charles F.S.M., Edna Pohlmann, Regina Engemann and Sr. Mary Leogene S.S.N.D.; one grandson, Kenneth Koester; and her beloved husband of 67 years, Linus Heppermann who died August 6, 2012.
Survivors include three sons: Linus Heppermann and his wife, Mary Ann, of Wright City, MO, Glennon Heppermann and his wife, Kathy, of Perry, MO, and Wayne Heppermann and his wife, Doris, of St. Paul; eight daughters: Shirley Koester and her husband, Vince, of St. Paul, Regina Hawkins and her husband, David, of St. Paul, Therese Westhoff and her husband, Jim, of St. Paul, Mary Jane Burkemper and her husband, Carl, of Old Monroe, MO, Ruth Gravens and her husband, Mike, of St. Paul, Carolyn Bals and her husband, Larry, of Old Monroe, MO, Barbara Stahlschmidt and her husband, Tom, of St. Peters, MO, and Nancy Heppermann of Moscow Mills, MO; 36 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild. She also leaves one brother, Clemens "Cop" Weber and his wife, Catherine "Sue", of Orchard Farms, MO; many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Memorials may be made to St. Louis Children's Hospital, Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital or Masses in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home; 3838 East Highway 47; P.O. Box 253; Winfield, MO 63389.
