To all my dear Hepperman cousins:
Please accept my deepest condolences. I'm so sorry I was not able to make it to Aunt Odelia's funeral. My thoughts and prayers were with all of you Friday and Saturday.
Aunt Odelia was such a sweetheart. Although i didn't get to know her well, which is all too common in families the size of ours, I always enjoyed her so much.
I remember her sharing a recipe with me for her caramel popcorn balls. She was so delighted to tell me all about it, how to make them, how to watch the heat, and then to enjoy them so very much. In fact, to this day, every time I see a caramel popcorn ball or even caramel popcorn, I think of her. Always have. I also remember visiting your family with Mom and Dad, when I was a kid. She made the BEST pumpkin pie.
Your round kitchen table always intrigued me. Aunt Odelia and Uncle Linus always had such a sweet smile and gracious presence to them. It's no wonder you are all such a close-knit and loving family.
My love and prayers go out to you and yours during this time. I'm sure Dad and all his sisters and brothers are having quite a reunion up in Heaven these days.
