Obituary of Steven Keith Peecher

Funeral services for Steven Keith Peecher of Wentzville, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Mel Bonds, pastor of the Agape Church in Wentzville, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Peecher, Brian Morgan, Jim Wood, Jay Herring, Pat Stonebraker, Allen Stonebraker, Greg Piper and Steve Briscoe. Mr. Peecher, 53, died Sunday morning, November 18, 2012 at Progress West Hospital in O'Fallon, MO. Born October 28, 1959 in Louisiana, MO, he was the son of Herschel Clyde and Mildred Evelyn Cohee Peecher. Raised in Elsberry, Steve was a 1978 graduate of Elsberry High School. He graduated from University of Missouri Rolla in 1982 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He was employed at GE Aviation in St. Louis, MO. After being together for nine years, he was united in marriage on June 18, 2009 in Honolulu, HI to Buffy Dawn Chapman. Mr. Peecher had a passion for music, guitars, drums and bands. He also loved motorcycles. He was a member of the Agape Church in Wentzville, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel and Mildred Peecher. Survivors include his beloved wife of 3 years, Buffy Peecher; twin daughters: Stephanie and Lindsey Peecher of Wentzville; and one sister, Janet Whitmer and her husband, Bill, of Festus, MO. He also leaves nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. Visitation will be held 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
