Obituary of Susan Mary Neuenkirk

Susan Mary Neuenkirk Funeral Services for Susan Mary Neuenkirk of Old Monroe, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Fr. Phil Krahman, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, will officiate with burial in Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Mrs. Neuenkirk, 63, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 26, 2012, 2012 at her home near Old Monroe. Born January 21, 1949 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Richard James and Florance Lane Burke. She was a graduate of Normandy High School. She was united in marriage on September 18, 1971 in St. Louis to Raymond Phillip Neuenkirk. This union was blessed with one son, David. Mrs. Neuenkirk worked for many years as a baker for Chum's Restaurant. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and her Alaskan Malamute puppies. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Florance Burke; and her son, David Neuenkirk, who died in 1989. Survivors include her beloved husband of 41 years, Ray Neuenkirk of Old Monroe; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
