Obituary of Jane Brown

Jane Elizabeth Brown Graveside Services for Jane Elizabeth Brown of Old Monroe, MO, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield, MO. Rev. Kenneth DuBose, retired pastor of Bible Baptist Church. Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Hastie, Jr., Tyler Dosing, Troy Brown, Jr., Cody Hastie, Cameron Dosing and Shane Hastie. Mrs. Brown, 77, passed away early Monday morning, August 20, 2012 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO. Born December 13, 1934 in Abbington, PA, she was the daughter of Douglas and Grace Osborne Kieffer. She was united in marriage on June 30, 1950 in Horsham, PA to Edward Arthur Brown. This union was blessed with seven children: Marlene, Michael, Edward, Troy, Kim, Stacy and Cory. Mrs. Brown worked for many years as a seamstress for Commercial Apparel, retiring in 1995. She is preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Grace Kieffer; two sisters: Dorothy Wurst and Shirley Ford; and one grandson, Michael Brown, Jr. Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, Edward Brown, Sr. of Old Monroe; three daughters: Marlene Brown of Old Monroe, Kim Hastie and her husband, Bruce, of Winfield and Stacy Dosing and her husband, Jeff, of Foley, MO; four sons: Michael Brown, Sr. and his wife, Kim, of Jonesburg, MO, Edward Brown and his wife, Susan, of Winfield, Troy Brown and his wife, Donna, of Foley and Corey Brown and his wife, Dawn, of Imperial, MO; twenty grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Douglas Kieffer and his wife, Gracie, of Altoona, PA; several other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
