Obituary of Samuel Jacob Sherwood

Samuel Jacob Sherwood "Caveman" Funeral Services for Samuel Jacob Sherwood of Foley, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Jim Calvin will officiate. Mr. Sherwood, 20, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Winfield, MO. Born August 11, 1991 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of D. Steve and Pamela Gayle Peters Sherwood. He attended Orchard Farm High School. Mr. Sherwood worked as a laborer in the roofing and contractor field. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Ernest and Carol Sherwood; and his adoptive grandparents, Frederick George and Lorraine Catherine Peters. Survivors include his parents, Steve Sherwood of St. Charles, MO and Pamela Sherwood and her companion, Alfred Harding, of Foley; and his maternal grandfather, Michael Crowley of Berkley, MO. He also leaves his brother, Stephen Daniel Sherwood of St. Charles; one sister, Kayla Renee Sherwood of Wright City, MO; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
