Obituary of Cecele Karrasch Fischer

Cecele Karrasch Fischer A Memorial Gathering for Cecele Fischer of Foley, MO will be held from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Mrs. Fischer, 83, passed away Friday afternoon, June 15, 2012 at the Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO. Born November 2, 1928 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Adolph Theodore and Cecelia M. Zimlich Karrasch. She was raised in St. Louis and graduated from Beaumont High School. She was united in marriage on September 29, 1952 in St. Louis to Gregory Woodrow Fischer. This union was blessed with one son, Doug. She was employed for a number of years as a secretary for Consolidated Freight Ways before working for Wilson Freight Lines and Holland Freight Lines in St. Louis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Cecelia Karrasch; two sisters: Doris Black and Lois Reid; and her beloved husband of 46 years, Greg Fischer, who died May 11, 1999. Survivors include her son, Doug (Debbie) Fischer of Foley. She also leaves two brothers: Adolph "Pete" Karrasch of Florissant, MO, and Raymond Karrasch and his wife, Jeanette, of Lake Saint Louis, MO; one sister, Jean Pierce and her husband, Harry, of Chesterfield, MO; special friends, Ray Foster and Mimi Boevingloh; many nieces, nephew, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
