Obituary of Francis Joseph Graeser

Francis Joseph Graeser Funeral Services for Francis Joseph "Frank" Graeser of Muskogee, OK, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Al Boatman, pastor of Clarksville Christian Church in Clarksville, MO, will officiate with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville. Mr. Graeser, 87, passed away late Thursday night, June 14, 2012 at Muskogee Regional Hospital in Muskogee after suffering a massive stroke on June 5, 2012. Born May 22, 1925 in Pine Lawn, MO, he was the son of Dennis and Gertrude Klaas Graeser. He was united in marriage on November 22, 1958 in St. Louis, MO to Mildred J. "Midgie" Parker. He worked as a Management Analyst for the Veteran's Administration Regional office in Muskogee, OK for many years, retiring in 1980. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Gertrude Graeser, and two sisters: Ellen Dintleman and Mary Ann Fischer. Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Mildred "Midgie" Graeser of Muskogee, OK; two daughters: Janet Worth and her husband, Marc, of Ashville, NC and Jeanne Graeser and her husband, John Posthumus, of Denver, CO; and four grandchildren: Allison Worth of Anchorage, AK, Matthew Worth of Raleigh, NC, Olivia Posthumus and Nate Posthumus, both of Denver. He also leaves one sister, Gertrude "Trudy" Bruns and her husband, Roddy, of Jefferson City, MO; several other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
