Obituary of Peter Stamper

Peter Michael Stamper Funeral services for Peter "Michael" Stamper of Farmington, MO, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Richard Pillers, pastor of Elsberry Assembly of God Church in Elsberry, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Dan Ladlie, Zach Ladlie, Ryan Ladlie, Tim Reller, Sam Paneitz and Jonny Paneitz. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Burbridge, Kenny Burbridge and Josh Burbridge. Mr. Stamper, 48, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born November 25, 1963 in Troy, MO, he was the son of Harry Loren and Wilma Fay Smith Stamper, Sr. He graduated from Mehlville High School and attended the University of Missouri and Columbia College. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Stamper, Sr.; one brother-in-law, George McCormick and a special aunt, Thelma Smith Plank of St. Louis. Survivors include his mother, Wilma Stamper of Elsberry; one half-sister, Jean McCormick of St. Louis; one half-brother, Milton Stamper and his wife, Carol, of FL; one brother, Harry Loren Stamper and his partner, Jeff Anderson, of San Diego, CA; five sisters: Harriet Loraine Burbridge and her husband, Kenneth, of Elsberry, Linda Elaine Foss and her husband, Wade, of Redmond, OR, Maria Alexis Hanna of Farmington, Alice Titania Ladlie, his twin, and her husband, Dan, of Grantsburg, WI and Victoria Anne Stamper of Elsberry. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
