Obituary of Catherine E. Korasick

Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Catherine Edna Korasick Private family services for Catherine Edna Korasick of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2005 at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church in rural Franklin County near Leslie, MO. Todd Korasick will officiate with burial in the Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery located next to the church. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Korasick, Randy Korasick, Eric Korasick, Todd Korasick, Jeff Korasick and David Korasick. Mrs. Korasick, 85, died early Saturday morning, September 10, 2005 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry. Born July 8, 1920 in East St. Louis, IL, she was the daughter of the late George and Edna Fisher Asimont. She was raised in Kincaid and Marion, IL, and graduated from Central High School in St. Louis, MO in 1938. She was united in marriage on April 3, 1943 in St. Louis, MO to Lester Anton Korasick. She lived in the St. Louis area most of her life, moving to Washington, MO in her later years. She was a former member of the Kirkwood Garden Club. Mrs. Korasick volunteered at St. John's Hospital in Washington for many years. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington. Besides her parents, George and Edna Asimont, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Lester Korasick in November, 1987. Survivors include two sons: Richard Korasick and his wife, Linda, of Columbia, MO, and Randy Korasick and his wife, Debra, of Mountain Lakes, NJ; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A brief time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church near Leslie. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, MO 63343.
