Obituary of James Dean Leiling

James Dean Leiling A Mass of Christian Burial for James Dean Leiling of Old Monroe, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church in Old Monroe. Fr. Philip Krahman, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Wolf, Rich Wolf, Bill Wolf, Art Korte, Mark Leuchtmann, Duane Randell, Jim Vehige, Brian Randell, Jon Bridegan and Steve Bridegan. Mr. Leiling, 59, passed away Wednesday morning, May 16, 2012 at his home in Old Monroe. Born April 1, 1953 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Leroy "Mick" Frederick and Olivia Joan Bowman Leiling. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1972-1975. He was united in marriage on October 5, 1974 in Escondido, CA to Mary Lou Wolf. This union was blessed with three children: Stacey, Jeremy and Joshua. Mr. Leiling worked for many years as an operator and a technician in the clean room for MEMC, retiring in 2011. He served on the Old Monroe Fire Department from 1984-1998. Mr. Leiling was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council where he was awarded Knight of the Year in 2006 and a member of Old Monroe American Legion Post #420. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mick and Joan Leiling and one sister, Jeanne Rothermich. Survivors include his beloved wife of 37 years, Mary Leiling of Old Monroe; one daughter, Stacey Leiling-Hunn and her fiance, Jason McGraw, of Wentzville, MO; two sons: Jeremy Leiling and his fiance, Ramona Schneider, of St. Peters, MO and Joshua Leiling and his wife, Kalina, of Alexandria, VA; and three grandchildren: Sidney Hunn, Madison Hunn and Andrew Hunn. He also leaves one sister, Sheila Dove and her husband, Dennis, of Wentzville; two nieces: Olivia Dove and Jessica Rothermich-Pesek and her husband, Andy; one nephew, Dustin Dove; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law; many relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield with a Knights of Columbus Rosary Service and an American Legion Service. Visitation will also be at 9:00 a.m. on Monday at Immaculate Conception Church.
