Obituary of Albert Gus Dickmeyer

Albert Gus Dickmeyer Funeral Services for Albert Gus Dickmeyer of Winfield, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Michael Kasevich, pastor of St. Paul United Church of Christ near Old Monroe, MO, will officiate with burial in St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles, MO. Mr. Dickmeyer, 89, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 24, 2012 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. Born January 8, 1923, he was the son of Harry and Adeline (nee Dickmeyer) Dickmeyer. He was a lifelong resident of the Winfield area. He was united in marriage on April 27, 1963 in St. Charles to Lavetta Maxine (nee Amyx) Henry. He owned and operated Dickmeyer's Zepher Service Station in Winfield for many years, retiring in 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Adeline Dickmeyer; one brother, Delmer Dickmeyer; one sister, Onieta Albers; and his beloved wife of almost 36 years, Maxine Dickmeyer who died March 28, 1999. Survivors include three daughters: Charlotte Mudd and her husband, Howard, of Golden, CO, Ginger Burkemper and her husband, Jack, of Elsberry, MO, and Linda Kisner and her husband, Ray, of Winfield. He also leaves eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
