Obituary of Shirley Ann Wilkerson

Shirley Ann Wilkerson Funeral services for Shirley Ann Wilkerson of Hannibal, MO, formerly of Annada, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at Centennial Methodist Church in Elsberry, MO. Ms. Wilkerson passed away Saturday afternoon, April 30, 2011 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO. Born August 13, 1951 in Louisiana, MO, she was the daughter of Louis McKinley and Beatrice Webb Wilkerson. She made her home in the Annada area until the flood of 1993, at which time she moved to Hannibal to be near her sons. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Beatrice Wilkerson; and one sister, Mary Jane Steele. Survivors include three sons: Benny Wilkerson of Hannibal, Lannie Wilkerson and his wife, Terry, of Hannibal, and Fred Wilkerson and his wife, Janet, of St. Louis, MO; eight grandchildren: Alyssa, Chelsea, Malika, Emory, Jamal and DeVonTay Wilkerson, Jocelyn Reeves and Jordan Harrison; and two great-grandchildren: Kyrie and Malaya Wilkerson. She also leaves her brother-in-law, Milford Lee Steele of Elsberry; two aunts: Catherine McPike and Sarah Grimmett, both of Clarksville, MO; several cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
