Obituary of Eva Flora Hoffman

Eva Flora Hoffman Eva Flora Hoffman, 99, of Foley, MO passed away Saturday afternoon, February 5, 2011 at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO. Born July 29, 1911 in Foley, MO she was the daughter of Rex Lee and Bonnie Adline Miller Foley. She attended college at Culver Stockton College and William Jewel College, where she received her teaching certificate. She was united in marriage on June 24, 1936 in Mexico, MO to Davis Urban Hoffman. This union was blessed with a daughter, Carole. She worked for many years as an elementary school teacher in Old Monroe and Winfield. She headed up a thrift shop in the Vaughn Housing projects in St. Louis, MO through the United Church of Christ Neighborhood Centers. She was a member of Corinth Christian Church in Foley, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Bonnie Foley; a sister, Geneva Daggett; and her beloved husband of almost 49 years, Davis Hoffman. Survivors include her daughter, Carole J.
