Obituary of Nancy Jean Holmes

Nancy Jean Holmes Funeral services for Nancy Jean Holmes of Winfield, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Rev. Richard Turnbull of Winfield and Dan Meers of Kansas City, MO will officiate with burial in Winfield Cemetery in Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Kline, Chris Doney, Guy Templeton, Dave Lemon, Jim Blackburn and Kurt Handling. Mrs. Holmes, 53, passed away Monday afternoon, November 15, 2010 at her home in Winfield. Born June 20, 1957 in St. Louis, MO she was the daughter of David and Margaret Mary Nixon. She was a graduate of Riverview High School in St. Louis, MO. She was united in marriage on April 1, 1990 in Hartford, IL to Anthony Lynn Holmes. She worked for many years as a blackjack dealer for Harrah's Casino in Earth City, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents: David and Margaret Nixon. Survivors include her beloved husband of 20 years, Anthony "Tony" Holmes of Winfield, MO; three daughters: Toni Lynn Ladefian and her husband, Michael, of Fayetteville, NC, Trisha Renee Perry and her husband, Jason, of San Diego, CA, and Margaret Mary Holmes of Winfield; one son: Jesse James Holmes of Winfield; and five grandchildren: Regan Campbell, Avery Ladefian, Ava Perry, Elijah Perry and Tessa Perry. She also leaves one brother: David Nixon, Jr. of Winfield; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rene and Ken Meers of St. Charles, MO; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
