Obituary of Ida Anderson

Ida Anderson Funeral services for Ida Anderson of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Raymond Doussard of Elsberry will officiate with burial in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Fred Burger, Chad Stone, Robert Stone, Greg Burger, John Burger and Ronnie Brewer. Ms. Anderson, 106, died early Friday morning, November 6, 2009 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry. Born November 25, 1902 in Elsberry, she was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Molly Catherine Hausgen Burger. She was employed for many years at Baldor Electric in St. Louis, MO, retiring in 1965. She was a member of the Star Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Molly Burger; four brothers: Charles Frederick Burger, Harry Edward Burger, Floyd William Burger and Roy Benjamin Burger; three sisters: Amy Wagner, Ada Belle Martin and Wanda Mae Briscoe. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lula Burger of Elsberry; several cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
