Bob 'Bobby' Nickles A Mass of Christian Burial for Bobbie Jerald "Bob" Nickles of Old Monroe, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Coleman, Gary Weaver, Kenny Nickles, Trent Tiller, Roy Freise, Boone Creech, and Joel Freise. Mr. Nickles, 75, passed away Sunday evening, February 1, 2009 at the Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO. Born October 24, 1933 in Winona, MO, he was the son of Wiley Joseph and Nellie Pearl Strain Nickles. He was united in marriage on July 9, 1960 in Old Monroe to Carol F. Freise. This union was blessed with four children: Judy, Lee, Gail, and Jill. Mr. Nickles worked for several years as a carpenter for Freise Construction and later as an over-the-road truck driver. A lifelong musician, he played locally for Ed Taylor and the Western Echo's. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Pearl Nickles; and two brothers: Bluford Nickles and Theodore Nickles. Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Carol Nickles of Old Monroe; one son, Lee Nickles and his wife, Denise, of Old Monroe; three daughters: Judy Tiller and her husband, Todd, of Old Monroe, Gail Braungardt and her husband, Jason, of Moscow Mills, MO, and Jill Dixon and her husband, Mark, of Old Monroe; eleven grandchildren: Trent, Kaleigh, and Emily Tiller, Loghan, Grant, and Alexa Nickles, Sydney and Nathan Braungardt, and Paige, Maci, and Rylee Dixon. He also leaves one sister, Dorothy Weaver of Eureka, MO, one sister-in-law, Beverly Nickles of Springfield, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO.
