Obituary of Imogene Cox

Funeral services for Imogene Lillian Cox of Troy, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Brett White, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, will officiate with burial in Star Hope Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Lee, Jeff Lee, Jeremy Collins, Craig Lee, Aaron Lee, and Danny Reed. Mrs. Cox, 83, passed away Sunday evening, November 30, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born December 22, 1924 in Troy, she was the daughter of Clarence and Myrtle LaRue Admire. She was united in marriage on July 5, 1952 in Troy to Robert Lee Cox, Jr. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Troy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Myrtle Admire; two brothers: Russell Admire and Clifford Admire; two sisters: Lois Shields and Patricia Reed; and her beloved husband of almost 40 years, Robert Cox, Jr. who died June 12,1992. Survivors include three sons: Jim Lee and his wife, Loretta, of Foley, MO, Douglas Lee and is wife, Mary Jane, of Moscow Mills, MO, and Stephen Cox of Winfield, MO; one daughter, Christine Noble and her husband, Richard, of Mt. Sterling, IL; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She also leaves three brothers: Leroy Admire of Wentzville, MO, Clarence Admire, Jr. of Olathe, KS, and Jerry Admire and his wife, Fannie, of Rentz, GA; two sisters: Helen Hampton and her husband, Eldon, of Wood River, IL, and Laura Tieman and her husband, Wil, of St. Peters, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
