Obituary of Dale Ryan

Dale Patrick Ryan, Sr., 48, of Elsberry, MO, died Sunday, October 5, 2008 on a houseboat on the Mississippi River near Mozier, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Elsberry Assembly of God Church under the direction of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2008 at the Elsberry Assembly of God Church with Rev. Richard Pillars officiating. A second visitation will be held from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2008 at the Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Baue Funeral Home with burial in St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Dan Ryan, Philip Ryan, Christopher Ryan, Jeremy Ryan, Michael Ryan and Tim Gossett. Mr. Ryan, born October 22, 1959 in St. Louis, MO, was the son of James Martin Ryan, Jr. and Betty June (Cook) Ryan. He was a 1979 graduate of Francis Howell High School. He was united in marriage on August 2, 2008 in Elsberry to Jody Marie Boehm. He worked for several years as a maintenance supervisor for Franciscan Sisters of Mary in Richmond Heights, MO. He was preceded in death by his father, James Ryan, Jr. His wife, Jody Ryan; his brother-in-law, Billy Boehm; and his sister-in-law, Ruth Boehm, all died in the same accident on October 5, 2008. Survivors include one son, Dale "Patrick" Ryan, Jr. of Elsberry; one daughter, Andrea Ryan of Elsberry; and one granddaughter, Victoria Ryan. He also leaves his mother, Betty Ryan of Harvester, MO; three brothers: Daniel Ryan of Elsberry, Philip Ryan and his wife, Robin, of Elsberry, and Christopher Ryan and his wife, Debbie, of O'Fallon, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
