Obituary of Lewis Hardin

Graveside services for Lewis Lavoid "Lou" Hardin of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry. Rev. John Zellmer of New Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Heitman, Jim Heitman, Adam Elliott, Mike Hartley, Andy Burkemper and Patrick Burkemper. Mr. Hardin, 63, died Thursday Morning, December 20, 2007 at his home in Elsberry. Born August 25, 1944 in Foley, MO, he was the son of Lewis Edward "Cap" and Della Rose Wilkinson Hardin. He was a farmer most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis "Cap" and Della Rose Hardin; two sisters: Rosie Edward "Eddie" Chandler and Mary Paulette Baker. Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Elliott and her husband, Dan, of Elsberry; three grandchildren: Danielle Ludwig and her husband, Michael, of Elsberry, Amanda Elliott of Clarksville, MO, and Adam Elliott of Troy, MO; and two great-grandchildren: Brayden Elliott and Me'Laynia Ludwig both of Elsberry. He also leaves two sisters: Sylvia Elliott and her husband, Monroe, of Louisiana, MO and Johnny Frazier and her husband, Roger, of Troy, MO; several nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
