Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Joseph Zielinski A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Zielinski of Winfield, MO was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO. Father Ed Shramm, associate pastor of Sacred Hearth Catholic Church in Troy, MO, officiated with the assistance of Deacon Tony Trautman. A graveside service was held at 3:00 p.m. Monday in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Tamaroa, IL. Mr. Zielinski, 70, died Friday night, January 20, 2006 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO. Born December 23, 1935 in Tamaroa, IL, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Martha A. Bathon Zielinski, Sr. He was a 1953 graduate of Tamaroa High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army from March 22, 1954 until January 7, 1956. He was united in marriage on January 7, 1961 in Tamaroa, IL to Mary RoJean Thomas. He was employed for 36 years at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Manufacturing in St. Louis, MO, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Machinist Local #837 in St. Louis. He was a member of American Legion Post #1277 in Tamaroa, IL. Mr. Zielinski was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Besides his parents, Sylvester and Martha Zielinski, Sr., he was preceded in death by two brothers, Sylvester Zielinski, Jr. and Norman Zielinski; and one sister, Mary Zielinski, who died as an infant. Survivors include his beloved wife of 45 years, Mary RoJean Zielinski of Winfield; two daughters: Tracy Zielinski-Hinman and her husband, Ray, of St. Charles, and Mary Jo Prost and her husband, Bob, of St. Charles; one son, Kevin Zielinski and his wife, Cindy, of St. Charles; and four grandchildren: Megan and Abby Hinman, and Kelli and Bobby Prost. He also leaves one sister, Rose Malanowski and her husband, Dan, of Tamaroa, IL; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2006 prior to the Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe.
