Obituary of Ruby L. Martin

Ruby L. Martin Graveside services for Ruby Louise Martin of Foley, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Bass, James Hyde, Keith Kirby, Joseph Gradenhorst, Terry Coleman, Mike White and Allen Hyde. Mrs. Martin, 84, died Saturday afternoon, July 28, 2007 at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO. Born March 18, 1923 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Lamear Monks. She was employed for a number of years as a computer chip inspector at Monsanto in St. Peters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Monks; five brothers: Buddy Monks, Gilbert Monks, Wilford Monks, Dibby Monks and Lee Monks; and four sisters: Rosie Turnbull, Teresa Boyd, Bernett O'Brian and Sis Monks. Survivors include one son, Robert Bass of Foley, MO; one daughter, Betty Ann Grabenhorst of Foley; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
