Linda Rue Medina Graveside services for Linda Rue Medina of Winfield, MO were held at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Bethany Cemetery near Winfield, MO. Bishop Bill Stanley of the Dardenne Creek Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints in O'Fallon, MO officiated the service. Ms. Medina, 56, died Tuesday morning, May 15, 2007 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO. Born December 18, 1950 in Cimarron, NM, she was the daughter of Rufe and Dorothy Leman Crone. She was a graduate of Rio Linda Senior High School in Rio Linda, CA. She also attended one year of college. She was employed for several years as an electronic sales associate at Wal-Mart in Troy, MO. She enjoyed and participated in AKA dog shows, where she showed miniature pinchers. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Crone; and one sister, Lorretta Gorrell. Survivors include her father, Rufe Crone of Friendswood, TX; four sisters: Rosemary Dameron of Sacremento, CA, Jo Ann Scott and her husband, William, of Winfield, MO, Kathern White and her husband, Wayne, of Winchester Bay, OR, and Reberta Gutkowski and her husband, Gary, also of Friendswood, TX; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
