Obituary of Edward Lee Kelly

Edward Lee Kelly Funeral services for Edward Lee Kelly of Winfield, MO were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Rick Koonce, pastor of the Mid-American Baptist Church, officiated with burial in Winfield Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Scott McNeil, Jason Gerke, Jimmy Kelly, Jimmy Wilburn, Chris Kelly and Jerry Duckett. Mr. Kelly, 76, died Thursday morning, April 26, 2007 at the Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO. Born May 29, 1930 in Moscow Mills, MO, he was the son of Albin W. and Mary Hilda Birkhead Kelly. A lifelong resident of southern Lincoln County, he was a 1948 graduate of Winfield High School. He was united in marriage on September 9, 1950 in Pocahontas, AR to Mary Helen "Toots" Duckett. This union was blessed with four children: Daniel, Don, Denice and Darlene. He was employed for many years at Ricks Store and later as the produce manager at the O'Fallon IGA, retiring in 1991. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albin and Mary Kelly; and two brothers: one who died in infancy, and Hiram Clinton Kelly who died in 1975. Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary "Toots" Kelly of Winfield; two sons: Daniel Kelly and his wife, Blanche, of Troy, and Don Kelly and his wife, Carmen, of Winfield; two daughters: Denice Kelly and her companion, Jimmy Wilburn, of Foley, MO, and Darlene Aubuchon and her husband, Ryan, of Winfield; and several grandchildren. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visitation was held from 12:00 noon until time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
