Carter Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Marjorie Lee Cloninger Graveside services for Marjorie Lee Cloninger of Old Monroe, MO, were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2005 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home officiated the burial. Mrs. Cloninger, 77, died early Tuesday morning, November 29, 2005 at Silex Community Care in Silex, MO. Born November 2, 1928 in Oceanview, VA, she was the daughter of William Bradford and Luzania Viola (nee Overby) Reece. She was united in marriage on March 31, 1943 in Norfolk, VA to Pleasant Modand Tucker, Sr. This union was blessed with two sons: Pleasant Modand "Dan" Tucker, Jr. and Guy Eugene Tucker. Mrs. Cloninger was a homemaker. Mrs. Cloninger was married again on October 16, 1965 in St. Louis, MO to Glenwood Virgil Cloninger. After almost 34 years of marriage, he preceded her in death in August 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Luzania Reece; one son, Pleasant Modand "Dan" Tucker, Jr. and her beloved husband of almost 34 years, Glenwood Cloninger. Survivors include one son, Guy Eugene and his wife, Myrna, of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Robert Reece of California; one sister, Ann Prospero and her husband, Daniel, of Florida; three grandchildren: Melissa Carden and her husband, Prentiss, of Foley, MO, Theresa Dees of Pensacola, FL and Daniel Tucker of St. Charles, MO. She also leaves four great-grandchildren: Samantha Carden, Cheyenne Dees, Shawna Dees and McKayla Dees; nieces, nephews, several other relatives and friends.
