Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Frank Kinion A Mass of Christian Burial for Frank Kinion of Elsberry, MO was held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry. Fr. Raymond Hager, church pastor, officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers were Frank Kinion Jr., George Kinion, Joseph Kinion, Johnny Kinion, Tommy Kinion and Steve Kelly. Mr. Kinion, 85, died Sunday evening, January 21, 2007 at his residence near Elsberry, MO. Born May 29, 1921, in Elsberry, MO, he was the son of Orlando and Margaret Palmer Kinion. He was united in marriage on May 29, 1942 in Cottleville, MO to Bernice Virginia Bernard. This union was blessed with eight children: Frank, Jr., George, Barb, Joseph, Robert, Mary, Johnny and Tommy. He worked for many years as a maintenance worker at McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis, MO, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry. Besides his parents, Orlando and Margaret Kinion, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Kinion; three grandsons, Paul Kinion, Kurt Kinion and Timothy Kinion; one great-grandchild, Alesia Crocker; and three sisters: Margie Grigsby, Ethel Bales and Idabell Obeln. Survivors include his beloved wife of almost 65 years, Bernice Kinion of Elsberry, MO; six sons: Frank Kinion and his wife, Mary, of Hollywood, MD, George Kinion of Winfield, MO, Joseph "Nicky" Kinion and his wife, Loretta, of St. Claire, MO, Johnny Kinion and his wife, Jean, of Wentzville, MO, Steve Kelly and his wife, Rita, of TX and Tommy Kinion and his wife, Dina, of Elsberry; and two daughters: Barb Haywood and her husband, Tom, of Warrenton and Mary Mackey and her husband, Arlyn, of Elsberry. He also leaves thirty-eight grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; thirty-one great, great grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Morris of Troy, MO; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. A Prayer Service was held at the funeral home during the visitation. A short visitation was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, January 20, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to Masses in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, MO 63343.
