Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Leslie "Les" Howard Miller Funeral services for Leslie "Les" Howard Miller of Cedar Hill, MO were held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, officiated with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Old Monroe, MO. Pallbearers were his grandchildren. Mr. Miller, 68, died Monday evening, December 18, 2006 at his home in Cedar Hill, MO. Born November 17, 1938 in Boles, MO, he was the son of Lester Edward and Viola Mae Light Miller. He was united in marriage on June 27, 1959 in St. Louis, MO to Georgetta Elizabeth McNicholas. This union was blessed with three children: Leslie II, Lorraine and Linda. He was employed for many years as a steel worker for Heintz Steel in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of the Model "A" Car Club in Kirkwood, MO and a member of Ironworkers Local #519 in St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Viola Miller. Survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Georgetta Miller of Cedar Hill, MO; one son, Leslie H. Miller, II and his wife, Kimberly Ann, of St. Louis; two daughters: Lorraine C. Buxton and her husband, Michael, of House Springs, MO and Linda M. Auer and her husband, John, of St. Peters, MO; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He also leaves one sister, Bertha "Bert" Ann Eubank of Texas; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
