Carter Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Irene Imogene Wilson Funeral services for Irene Imogene Wilson of Wright City, MO (formerly of Winfield, MO) will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2006 at Carter Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Rev. Allen Calkins of the Star Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry, MO will officiate at the service with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Members of her family will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Wilson, 88, died early Wednesday morning, April 19, 2006 at Warrenton Manor in Wright City, MO. Born November 22, 1917 in Cotter, AR, she was the daughter of the late Cletus and Virgie Frost Gadberry. She was united in marriage on October 6, 1941 in Cardwell, MO to Thomas Jefferson Wilson. This union was blessed with two daughters: Eva Irene and Frankie Joan. She was employed for several years as a spot welder for Argo Products in St. Louis, MO, until retiring in 1980. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson moved from St. Louis to the Winfield area in 1980. Besides her parents, Cletus and Virgie Gadberry, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Jackson; and her beloved husband of 46 years, Thomas Wilson, who died March 7, 1988. Survivors include two daughters: Eva Irene Schmied and her husband, Lawrence, of Foley, MO and Frankie Joan Jackson and her husband, Arthur, of Wright City, MO; three brothers: Dallas Gadberry and his wife, Mary, of San Angelo, TX, Loyd Gadberry and his wife, Fannie, of Imboden, AR and Ray Gadberry of Clubb, MO; two sisters: Evelyn Martin of Ravenden, AR and Louise Miller and her husband, Ralph, of Potosi, MO; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday, April 20, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
