Carter Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Debrah Sue Scarborough Funeral services for Debrah Sue Scarborough of Elsberry, MO were held at 11:00 a.m., April 11, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, Missouri. Rev. Jeff Fernberg of the Elsberry First Baptist Church in Elsberry, MO officiated the service with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry, MO. Pallbearers were Roger Creech, Jack Britt, Phillip Melton, Jr., Brian Taylor, Larry Wayne Taylor, Mike Keeven, Larry Taylor and David Scarborough. Ms. Scarborough, 45, died early Thursday morning, April 6, 2006, at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO. Born July 7, 1960 in Jellico, TN, she was the daughter of the late William Cleveland and Annie Gibson Scarborough. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Watson Creek Baptist Church in Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Annie Scarborough; and two sisters: Betty Louise Young and Shirley Fay Scarborough. Survivors include her companion of almost 30 years, John Atterbery of Elsberry; two sons: William Scarborough of Troy, MO and Joey Scarborough of Elsberry; and one grandson, Nathan Scarborough. She also leaves four brothers: David Leonard Scarborough and his wife, Margie, of Mount Vernon, KY, Cecil Warren Scarborough and his wife, Patty, of Woodbine, KY, Jimmy John Scarborough and his wife, Shannon, of Williamsburg, KY and William C. Scarborough of Williamsburg, KY; seven sisters: Laura Taylor and her husband, Larry, of Lafay, GA, Martha Hoskins and her husband, Joey, of Geary, ID, Linda Gabor and her husband, Harold, of Lexington, KY, Doris White and her husband, Jimmy, of Lexington, KY, Marietta Hobbs and her husband, Frank, of Williamsburg, KY, Barbara Ann Culver of Columbia, KY and Vickie Houston of Williamsburg, KY; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2006 at Carter Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
