Obituary of Frederick Wilson

Frederick William Wilson A Mass Christian Burial for Frederick William Wilson of Elsberry, MO was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry, MO. Fr. Robert Zinser of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry, MO, officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers were Carl Day, Larry Strahan, Glen Olney, Shirley Littlejohn, Dennis Hunt and Danny Slatter. Mr. Wilson, 56, died early Friday morning, March 31, 2006 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, MO. Born June 18, 1949 in Davenport, IA, he was the son of the late William I. and Evelyn Houser Wilson. He was a 1968 graduate of Central High School in Davenport, IA. He was employed for several years as a heavy machine operator for Caterpillar in Pontiac, IL until retiring in 1997. He later worked as a meat-cutter for Brown's Smokehouse in Winfield, MO. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting antiques. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Evelyn Wilson. Survivors include his companion, Deborah Glesky of Elsberry, MO; two sons: Frederick Scott Wilson of Little Rock, AR and Jeffrey Lee Wilson of Fayetteville, AR; two daughters: Amanda Irene Hogg and her husband, Robert, of Longview, TX and Jennifer Wilson of Preston, IA; one step-son, Dennis Hunt of Bloomington, IL; two step-daughters: Samantha Schneider of Elsberry, MO and Shirley Littlejohn of Foley, MO. He also leaves two sisters: Mary Eckstein-Lake of Davenport, IA and Susan Botkin and her husband, Charles, of Preston, IA; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Visitation was from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry. Memorials may be made to the charity of Donor's Choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, MO 63343.
