Obituary of Robert J. Olsen

Robert J. Olsen Graveside services for Robert Jesse "Bob" Olsen of Foley, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home will officiate at the service. Mr. Olsen, 49, died early Sunday morning, March 5, 2006 at his home near Elsberry. Born February 12, 1956 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Robert and Leona Lynch Olsen. Raised in St. Charles County, he was a 1974 graduate of Francis Howell High School in St. Charles. He was united in marriage on July 22, 1977 in West Plains, MO to Valerie Jo Yeager. This union was blessed with two daughters, Jamie and Amanda. He was employed for several years in machine maintenance at General Credit Forms in Earth City, MO. Survivors include his beloved wife of 28 years, Valerie Olsen of Elsberry; two daughters: Jamie Gladney and her husband, Joe, of Elsberry; Amanda Olsen of Foley and her fianc�, Eric Penrod; and one grandson, Beau Gladney. He also leaves his parents, Robert and Leona Olsen of Harvester, MO; one brother, Rick Olsen of Harvester; two sisters: Diane Schrader and her husband, Ron, of Winfield, MO, and Lisa Burkemper and her husband, Henry, of Elsberry; his mother-in-law, Jeannie Patterson and her husband, Bob, of Olympia, WA; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
