Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Michael Joseph Bauer A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael Joseph Bauer of Old Monroe, MO, was held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2005 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, church pastor, officiated with burial in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers were Jake Bauer, Andy Bauer, Nick Bauer, Danny Schulte, Tony Schulte and Paul Sherman. Mr. Bauer, 30, died early Monday morning, December 19, 2005 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO. Born October 27, 1975 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Theodore James and Debra Ann Westhoff Bauer, Sr. Disabled since birth, Michael lived at Blankenship Home in Palmyra, MO most of his life. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mel and Helen Westhoff. Survivors include his parents, Ted and Debbie Bauer of Old Monroe; two brothers: T. J. Bauer and Jeff Bauer, both of Old Monroe; and one sister, Amber Bauer also of Old Monroe. He also leaves his paternal grandparents, Vic and Bernadine Bauer of O'Fallon, MO; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO; and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of the service at Immaculate Conception Church. A Prayer Service was held during visitation Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
