Funeral services for Edna Maria Dudley of Elsberry, MO were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Connie Atchley, minister of First Disciples of Christ Christian Church in Elsberry, officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry, MO.
Mrs. Dudley, 92, died Thursday evening, July 14, 2005 at Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry, MO. Born September 27, 1912 in Lincoln County, MO, she was the daughter of the late August and Berta Stark Meinershagen. She was united in marriage on July 9, 1955 in Old Monroe to Otis Dudley. She attended Winfield High School for 12 years, graduating in 1931. She was employed for a number of years as a seamstress for Wells Lamont Glove Factory in Elsberry.
Besides her parents, August and Berta Meinershagen, she was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Juanita Kelly of Troy, MO, and her beloved husband, Otis Dudley, who died February 2, 1987.
Survivors include two sister-in-laws: Adeline Dudley of Elsberry, MO, and Smith Dudley of Elsberry, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Memorials may be made to Joseph R. Palmer Memorial Library in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, MO 63343.
